This design takes its inspiration from the octagonal motifs often seen on wonderful old Quaker samplers. The motto which runs around the design is also of Quaker origin, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All play and no work makes Jack a mere toy." On 14 or 28 count fabric the design is 14" square, and makes a stunning sampler or game board. The charts are coded for using Gentle Art Sampler, with DMC alternates given. Chart only.
