How to Finish a Biscornu, 6.10.2010
By: Ellen Baglivi (Monroe, NJ)
I did not make this Just Nan design; I have made several biscornus. My first one, I wondering how in the world can you get a 4-sided piece of cloth to wind up with 8 sides???? It actually was very easy and I was surprised how quickly the sewing together of the 2 pieces went and how professional it looked. If you haven't made one, go to: Biscornu Guide @Save the Stitches! This is an excellent source on how to do it. If you're still a little leary, look over these instruction first, and then try your hand at it. There are hundreds upon hundreds of free designs on the inet. I printed so many, I had to put them in a 3-ring notebook. You can use left-over fabric and floss. I used up a lot of my overdyed Waterlillies. They can be completed in a very short time. You can can easily get addicted to these little treasurers, plus they made teriffic gifts.
