My system is very "acidy" and I wear the plating off most needles in less than one day... even the gold plated needles. But these John James Platinum needles last and last for me. I also find that the size 28 works for most seed beads. These are much easier to thread than beading needles, making embellishing my needlework much more enjoyable.
