What is the difference between the Economy and Premium shipping options?
What shipping methods do you use?
Packages sent within the continental United States are sent by FedEx or UPS Ground or by First Class, Priority Mail, or Media Mail. Please list both FedEx or UPS and U.S. Mail addresses on order form. If you prefer a carrier, you must mention it each time you order.Top
What are your continental U.S. shipping rates?
$4.99 Economy Shipping, Every Day
Premium Shipping, which guarantees that your order will be readied for shipment within one business day, and be shipped via a premium "track-able" carrier, is available for $11.99. In addition, for all deliveries made to a North Dakota address, ND sales tax will be applied. We are required by ND law to collect sales tax on both the merchandise and the shipping charges.Top
What are your shipping rates to U.S. provinces, APO/FPO, etc?
For orders sent to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, APO and FPO addresses, we reserve the right to bill for actual shipping charges plus handling.Top
What are your international shipping rates?

Please note that the shipping price that automatically shows in your cart is only an approximation. You will be billed for actual shipping charges with insurance plus a small handling fee. If you need to know how long it will take an airmail package to reach you from the United States, please call your local post office. Canadian shipments will go out as ground shipments at substantially lower rates via USPS unless otherwise requested.

If you want us to Rush your order, please make the appropriate selection while placing your order. For an additional $5.00 fee Rush orders guarantee that your order will leave the Nordic Needle warehouse within 24 working hours after it is received.
Please be aware that all international packages are held until they are filled complete. If you do not want us to hold your order but would prefer that we ship a partial shipment and back-order the missing items, please specify this preference when placing your order. You may also tell us to cancel the missing items rather than back order them. If you request multiple shipments, you will be billed shipping and handling for each shipment.
If you want your package sent by a carrier other than the postal service, please specify your preferred method when placing your order. We reserve the right to require insurance or refuse to ship to certain foreign countries.
Any fee, tax, or duty that your government chooses to assess is your responsibility. Call your local postal service or customs office for details.
For orders sent to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, APO, and FPO addresses, we reserve the right to bill for actual shipping charges plus handling. For orders shipped to Canada there is an additional $3.00 handling fee plus actual shipping charges and insurance. We are not responsible for the taxes or duty charged by foreign countries. Please check with your government for further details.
How long will it take to receive my order?
You can expect to receive your merchandise within 2 weeks after we receive your order. That includes 3-5 working days at Nordic Needle and 2-7 working days in transit plus weekends. Delivery time may vary during seasonal peaks and catalog sales. Occasionally we will hold an order for merchandise that we expect to receive in our warehouse very soon. If you need your order quickly, we have a Rush service for an additional $5.00 fee that guarantees your shipment will be processed and shipped within 24 hours.
In addition, if you have purchased through PayPal we must hold your order until it is completely filled before requesting funds; this may cause delays in shipment from our warehouse. If you need your order quickly, please consider an alternate payment method to ensure the fastest service possible.

What do I do if I need to change my address or am receiving duplicate mailings?
If you receive duplicate catalogs, please call us with that information and share the extra catalog with a friend.
If you are moving or changing your name, please Contact Us. We will need your old address as well as your new one. Thank you for your cooperation!Top

What is a Rush order (for Non-Continental U.S. ONLY)?
For an additional $5.00 handling fee you can place a Rush order that guarantees your order will be processed and will leave our building for shipment within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. Any non standard additional carrier charges for expedited delivery that are requested will be in addition to the shipping charge. If you are placing your order online, simply select the Rush option while selecting your shipping method. If you are ordering by phone, simply ask for rush shipping, and if you are ordering by mail, be sure to write "Rush" on the outside of the envelope.Top
