When you call in to place an order with us, you will most likely be greeted with one of our friendly staff from our order entry department. The order entry department handles phone calls and enters online, phone, fax, and mail orders into our order-entry database for processing.



Chris answers phones, enters and processes orders, and is one of our wholesale account representatives. She is an excellent seamstress and enjoys Hardanger, quilting, and shuttle tatting.
Megan answers phones, enters and processes orders, and also works part-time in the store when needed. She is a very creative seamstress and unique fiber artist.
Linda answers phones, enters and processes orders, and also works part-time in the store when needed. She loves counted cross stitch. She also knits, quilts, and spins!
Our customer service department handles your calls as well, and works with our customers in resolving many issues that may exist with their orders or products.

Chris S. (R) receives and replies to online customer service inquiries as well as handles customer management and updates within our order-entry database. She also works on coordinating Nordic Needle's annual retreat. Chris S. is an accomplished woodsmith and seamstress, and enjoys Hardanger and punchneedle.

As well as being an excellent customer service representative, Mary Ann (L) has a large part in ordering countless products and threads to ensure we remain sufficiently supplied. She crochets and enjoys Hardanger embroidery and plans to continue learning canvaswork.
Our retail store staff are more than they appear! Not only do they assist our in-store customers, answer phones, and keep the store stocked and tidy, they also fill the retail items for all of our orders.

Sue K. supervises the store and also works in shipping and receiving, as well as assists with product management within our order-entry database. Sue remembers shopping at Nordic Needle with her Grandmother when it was in the Block 6 location. Those memories coupled with inheriting some of her Grandmother's pieces, inspired her to learn the art of Hardanger. She now calls herself an "advanced" beginner at Hardanger embroidery.
Janine works nights and weekends in the store filling orders and helping out where necessary.
Cassie and Lisa (not shown) also work nights and weekends in the store filling orders.
Our shipping department handles receiving and stocking our product orders from our suppliers as well as filling the wholesale items for all of our orders and shipping the packages to our customers. They ship hundreds of packages a day to ensure they reach our customers promptly.

Karen ships many packages to the various retail stores we wholesale products to. She also does beautiful cross stitch (many of which go directly to her grandchildren :).
Judy works in shipping and also assists in the retail store. She enjoys cross stitching.
Garnet receives and distributes wholesale products.
Jessica ships packages to our retail customers as well as helps answering phones when necessary. She enjoys cross stitch and does beautiful canvaswork.
Not Shown: Sharon supervises the shipping department to ensure it operates smoothly and efficiently.
Our product ordering and management department handles our purchasing and inventory control, directly interfacing with our suppliers and keeping our order-entry database accurate and efficiently administrated.
Diane (L) is our inventory coordinator and manages our order-entry database, discontinuing products as necessary, and working directly with Sue Meier (owner) to order new wholesale products. Diane enjoys quilting, crazy quilting, and knitting.
Tasha (R) is our inventory purchaser. She places orders with our suppliers and manages products in our order-entry database. Tasha does beautiful Hardanger embroidery and also enjoys needle felting.
Our wholesale department manages all of our wholesale customer accounts. They send out notifications to our wholesale customers and work directly with them when taking their orders.
Ruth (R) conducts wholesale account orders via e-mail or over the phone and works with Debi to create newsletter notifications for our wholesale customers. She also works with Diane, Tasha, Chris R. and others to coordinate many of our out-of-town wholesale shows. She is a talented Huck (Swedish weaving) and silk ribbon embroiderer, needle felter, and quilter.
Chris R. (shown above) answers phones, enters and processes orders, and is one of our wholesale account representatives. She is an excellent seamstress and enjoys Hardanger, quilting, and shuttle tatting.

Debi is the marketing coordinator and oversees all of our print and web advertisements and promotions, as well as writes and manages our wholesale catalogs and writes the "stash" and sales bi-weekly newsletter. She also works with Chris S. to coordinate our annual retreat. Debi is an excellent embroiderer and needleworker and excels at and enjoys Brazilian embroidery, Hardanger, Schwalm, canvaswork, cross stitch, and needle tatting.

Ryan is the web"monster" of Nordic Needle. She created and manages both websites, manages the web product and newsletter databases, as well as creates online and print advertisements, aids in catalog and any necessary graphic creation, and provides professional photography for publications. Ryan enjoys knitting, Blackwork, Hardanger and Goldwork.
Gwen is our resident accountant. She handles Nordic Needle's books and keeps things tidy and in line (and she makes delicious treats and orchestrates all of our staff parties :). Gwen is an exceptional crocheter and also enjoys cross stitching.

Duane is the operations manager of Nordic Needle. He's a great cook and shows off his cooking skills at our potlucks. He enjoys "uncounted" cross stitch and the Minnesota Twins.

Last but most assuredly not least we have the fine owners of Nordic Needle. None of us would be here without them! Roz and Sue still dedicate their time to the company in so many different ways.
Roz still oversees the production of the retail catalog, as well as writes the Features bi-weekly newsletter and scouts for new and interesting retail products to pick up. She also finds time to create beautiful, original Hardanger patterns and kits.
Sue is now sadly retired, but of course still stays in touch both professionally and personally. Sue enjoys Huck (Swedish weaving) and, of course, Hardanger. Sue and Roz both also work together to judge and publish Nordic Needle's annual Award Winning Designs in Hardanger embroidery book.
