If youve never worked with Watercolours, you are going to love it! Every time you use this overdyed fiber, the result will be different. This framed design is taken from Rozs Fiber Fantasy in Hardanger Embroidery, a book designed by Nordic Needles very own Rosalyn Watnemo!
Design Size: 7" x 7"
Materials:
- 12" x 12" antique green Hardanger fabric (22 count)
- 1 skein Watercolours by Caron, color 033 (desert sage)
- 1 ball #8 DMC pearl cotton, color 503 (blue green-med)
- OR 1 ball #8 Anchor pearl cotton, color 214 (dusty green-pale)
- Green lining fabric
- 9" x 9" frame
Working Instructions: Fold the fabric in half to find the center line. Measure down 2" to begin the first satin stitch block (see arrow) using Watercolours. Work all the satin stitch blocks and solid ship motifs with Watercolours. Use size #8 pearl cotton for cable stitch, twisted bars, woven bars, picots, webs and corner-to-corner webs.
