2008 Spring/Summer Class Schedule

Open Stitch Nights – Yes, they are FREE! Drop in for Open Stitching Sessions this spring.  Bring your current project and enjoy stitching the night away with old and new stitching friends.  Jean Mann will be here to assist with any questions or problem stitches from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Come on in!

In May, join us Monday night the 19th.

In June, join us Monday night the 9th and/or 30th.

In July, join us Monday night the 28th.

*** REMEMBER*** Pre-registration and Pre-Payment is requested for ALL classes.  If less than 4 people register, the class will be cancelled, but the room will still be available for open stitching with no teacher present.  Students may register and pay at the time of the class IF space is still open in the class.  Class limit is 10.  So, call a friend or two and come enjoy these fun and quick needlework classes.  Call 701-235-5231 to register and pay with credit card, or stop into the shop to register and pay for these classes.  Costs include tax.

Please pre-register for any classes you are interested in.  Class will be cancelled if less than 4 people pre-register.

As always, please bring your scissors, and hoop, if you are more comfortable with one, to class.

2008 Bookmark Challenge

March 20th – May 8th

Help us encourage reading and share the joy of needlework.

Stitch a bookmark, using any technique you want, drop them off or mail them in to Nordic Needle and your name is entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate.  The more bookmarks you donate, the more times your name is entered. 

Bookmarks will be displayed until May 8th, at that time they will be donated to local schools, libraries, and other organizations.

Monday Evening Classes (6:30 - 8:30pm)

CLASSES – Learn a new needlework technique or just come and share some time with fellow-stitchers, working on a small project.

Mystery Class

Join us for an enjoyable night of surprise stitching.  Please bring a treat to share (about a dozen) and laugh and stitch the night away.  (Please bring your stash of threads to class.)

Swedish Naversom

Monday, July 7 & 14

First time offered at Nordic Needle. Come learn a traditional Swedish technique.

Thursday Evening Classes (6:30 - 8:30pm - Series)

Series classes will be offered on Thursday evenings this winter.  Pre-registration IS required to hold your place in class.  Class will be cancelled if less than four register.

(Star Crazy) – Come get Star Crazy while you learn many basic Hardanger stitches.

Beginner plus – Come try Jean’s original Chatelaine design and make it as easy or as hard as you dare.

Saturday – Four Hour Classes (10am-3pm with 1 hr. off for lunch)

Spend a Saturday with us this fall and learn some fun and interesting needlework techniques.

Classes run from 10 AM to 3 PM with one hour off for lunch.

Huck Embroidery

Beyond Cross Stitch
