STITCHER'S INDULGENCE - Instructors Stitcher's Indulgence Home | Class Descriptions | Instructors JEAN MANN – Jean has been a part of the Nordic Needle family since 1994, teaching classes and designing patterns in many techniques. Her specialties are Hardanger embroidery, Brazilian embroidery, huck embroidery, silk ribbon, stumpwork and many others. Jean brings experience, knowledge and creativity to each and every class! BARB OLSON – Barb worked as a professional picture framer for 17 years and is now a customer service representative at Nordic Needle. Barb enjoys Brazilian embroidery, Hardanger and cross stitch. LYNN HANSON – Lynn works part time at Nordic Needle but has been a customer since the doors opened at the shop almost 32 years ago! Lynn does Hardanger embroidery, cross stitch, pulled thread, canvaswork and other techniques. SUE MEIER – Sue is co-owner of Nordic Needle and has co-authored over 150 Hardanger embroidery books and kits, and designed many Hardanger and huck embroidery patterns. Sue’s days are filled with many aspects of owning a business and keeping the website updated. VICKI PETERSON – Vicki has taught many tatting classes at Nordic Needle over the years and has been tatting for 25 years. Vicki has worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the Biosciences Research Lab in Fargo for 18 years. She is looking forward to retirement in about 3 years so she can pursue her many other hobbies. SANDRA GORDON – Sandra is the retired Department Head of Early Childhood Education at Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Active in Embroiderer's Guild of America, Minnesota Needlework Guild, and other needlework groups for many years, she is the National Secretary of the EGA and has been Regional Director. Her favorite needlework includes many types of counted work embroidery but she loves canvaswork and is affectionately called the "tassel lady". RUTH HAHN – For over 10 years on staff, Ruth has brought a ray of sunshine to Nordic Needle. With her gifts for gardening, silk ribbon is a natural needlework technique for Ruth to enjoy. Ruth and her husband, Jim, enjoy living on a farm on the North Dakota prairie.
