By: Kathleen Pierce (San Diego, CA)

This is probably the most complex stitch project I ever did, but it was worth it. I loved the dimensionality and the metallic glimmer. (Note: I learned not to use my good scissors for metallic thread.) There are three colorways but I did the one shown. When I bought the threads I worried they were too monochromatic to be fun, but when I stitched it all together it turned out beautifully. I did have to go to 2 local stores and 3 online stores to get everything. The photographs on the package and on the site are too small to be good guides, but the directions are fine. Mine was misprinted, but when I wrote to Nordic Needle they immediately sent a fresh copy--great customer service. I also got in touch with the designer, who was incredibly helpful and also asked me to send her photos of the process and the finished result. She answered both emails. I will certainly keep an eye on her designs and hope she does some more as beautiful as this.

"I just love your shop and your customer service. When I was working on this piece - there were 36 pages of patterns - one of my pages got a little worn and I couldn't see the pattern - I called the Nordic Needle and you helped me figure out the area that was worn off. Thanks. - Paula "
