Announcing the first ever Hardanger Embroidery Card Club! Every month Club Members will receive a new exclusive Hardanger pattern, available only to Club members, a beautiful embossed greeting card and envelope, a specialty thread, and instructions to stitch a new card design every month. Another great feature of this Limited Edition Club is the assortment of threads we will send you. We are not using your normal DMC or Anchor pearl cotton but we are featuring several different specialty threads like Leahs, Dinky Dyes, Caron Wildflowers, ThreadworX, Silk Elegance, and Crescent Colours. This is your chance to experience these unique threads while stitching a new Hardanger design every month. Here is how the Club works.
When you enroll in the Hardanger Card Club, you will receive an Introductory Pack that includes the 28 count white Lugana fabric for all twelve months, a pack of tapestry needles, general Hardanger stitch instructions, and a special surprise free gift. Each month the shipment will include the card and envelope, the design and instructions, finishing instructions and the thread to complete the design. (Foreign members will be charged actual shipping charges.)
If you enroll later than the beginning of the year, don't worry! You will be billed and receive the Introductory Pack and all the monthly designs from January through the month you join. Every month after your initial enrollment you will automatically receive that month's design pack and it will be charged to your credit card for the amount of $11.99 with no additional shipping charges. (Foreign members will be charged actual shipping charges.)
We encourage you to become a Hardanger Card Club Member and get your friends and stitching groups involved as well. What fun to get together once a month and stitch your special new Hardanger card as a group. Remember, these exclusive designs by Roz Watnemo are ONLY available to Club Members and only for the year of 2010. Most kits include enough thread to stitch more than one design and additional cards are available to purchase separately so you can stitch them over and over again, trying other threads and colors on your own.
Additionally we welcome you to our new Save the Stitches! Forum - as a Hardanger Card Club member you will have the opportunity to an exclusive Members Only Forum. All you need to do is register for the card club with a valid e-mail address, then register at the forum with the same e-mail address. Once your membership is approved you will be given special access to the forum to chat with other members and Nordic Needle staff!

Hardanger Card Club, 2.28.2012
By: Carolyn Kolkman (Sherwood Park, AB)
I have completed the Card Club but was disappointed in the thread selection. I found that many of the threads did not coordinate nicely with the card. Also, many of the cards were "old lady" cards. Not really nice - except for the soft yellow ones. However, the Christmas Ornaments are much nicer

perfect for me!, 6.1.2010

I've only done a little hardanger before and I was looking for small projects I could give as gifts. I just love these! I am almost finished with May, I bought substitute threads to use for the February one, and sent it to my aunt who is in assisted living with not much space. These are great to try out different threads and stitches. I'm afraid table runners and doilies of the formal type just don't have a place in my life, or in the life of most of my friends and family. So these are perfect for me!
Next, how about a Bookmark of the Month Club?!

I am experienced with hardanger, not an expert but an enthusiastic amateur. The Hardanger card club is terrific, You build on a new stitch each time and utilize previous stitches used. The instructions are clear and consise, however instructions for drawn or pulled thread aren't included. I would suggest anyone who wants to learn hardanger but doesn't have a lot of time or patience should avail themselves of this to get throughly interested and involved, and ready to pursue a larger project.

Am anxiously awaiting February's card and fiber. January stitched up quickly even though I am a novice at Hardanger. The card is beautiful. What nice quick projects to look forward to getting each month!!! Thanks so much

Hooked on the Cards, 2.17.2010

I loved my January card. So far I've made the pattern or versions of it at least 5 times and I can't wait to get the next one. I'm so hooked on Hardanger now and watching the mailbox with great anticpation of the February pattern.
