Product Details

The embroideries in this beautifully illustrated book were inspired by the decorative borders and panels in an illuminated Book of Hours created by Jean Bourdichon for Anne of Brittany, early in the 16th century. There are detailed instructions for working eight botanical specimens and three illuminated panels, each including a "surprise" in the form of an insect (or two), faithfully interpreted in fabric, wire, beads and thread.
