Kogin is a uniquely Japanese needlework technique that was born of a practical desire for warmth, and the need to strengthen fabric used in everyday life. It is recognizable by its geometric designs which are embroidered with thick threads on a base fabric. It dates back to the 1600's and has quite an interesting history. Spiral bound, 17 pages.
